3. Electric Mixer
Hand mixers are smaller, a lot cheaper and great if you occasionally whisk eggs or make a batter. If this is the case the VonShef Professional 300W Hand Mixer at around £15 on Amazon would be a great addition to your kitchen. It includes Chrome Beaters, Dough Hooks, Balloon Whisk.
Hand mixers are great, however if you are a keen baker it really is time to upgrade to a stand mixer. The is one of the best you can get but there are many different options on the market. They range in price massively from £80 to near £1000 for a high end industrial type mixer.

4. Electric Pressure Cooker
Pressure cookers have been around for decades and when you own one it’s clear to see why they are still popular today. Not only do they cook food quicker, but they retain up to 90% more nutrients within the food and are a much healthier way of cooking. Perfect for today’s lifestyle where we are all trying to juggle our time and our health. An absolute kitchen must have!
Unlike the traditional stove top pressure cookers with an electric cooker there is no hissing or rattling, no steaming up the kitchen and no guess work trying to regulate the heat and pressure. Our favorite is the Instant Pot Duo, a 7-in-1 multi-functional cooker with a 6 liter automatic pressure cooker that can cook at high and low pressure, you can sauté directly in the cooking pot, it’s a slow cooker, a rice cooker, a pressure and non-pressure steamer and it’s a porridge maker and food warmer all in one.
The Instant Pot Duo has an easy to use control panel with 14 built-in smart programs to complete your common cooking tasks (Soup, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chili, Poultry, Saute, Steam, Rice, Porridge, Multigrain, Slow Cook, Keep-Warm, Yogurt, Pasteurise and Fermenting). The Duo has three temperature settings for sauté/browning and also for slow cooking. You can brown your food prior to pressure or slow cooking and reduce a sauce at the end all in the same inner pot. One of the kitchen must haves perfect for a busy family.
5. Health Grill
One of the most used appliances in my kitchen is George Foreman 4-Portion Family Health Grill. I have also had this long enough for it to be a Lean Mean Fat Reducing Machine!
The angled grill channels fat and grease away from the food and unlike a conventional grill the plates apply gentle pressure to squeeze out a little extra fat making it the healthier option. As you are cooking from both sides the cooking process is also considerably quicker and cleaning takes just a few minutes.
There are now a number of manufacturers out there and although the basic idea is still the same the health grills are now programmable, have adjustable temperature control, additional plates and some even have and attached griddle like this George Foreman 10-Portion Grill and Griddle.
